WITandWISDOM(tm) - December 28, 2000 ~~~~~~~ THOUGHTS: "Don't tell a man how to do a thing. Tell him what you want done, and he'll surprise you with his ingenuity." - General George S. Patton Source: Bits & Pieces, September 14, 1995, Copyright (c) Economic Press, Inc., www.epinc.com via http://www.witandwisdom.org ~~~~~~~ SPECIAL THOUGHTS: When our children were small they knew how precious they were to Jesus, but I think I had a mind lapse on that, especially one day when I was rushing around trying to get a baby and two little ones to a doctor appointment. My little girl couldn't find her shoe, and with our coats on, I scolded her in an exasperated and very un-Christlike way. Quick as a wink her 4-year-old brother grabbed her around the shoulders in a big hug, looked at me in all earnestness, and said: "Mommy! You shouldn't yell at your blessings!" Our bones are a-creakin' (Though we claim it's the chair) And somehow the sheen's Disappeared from our hair. We droop and we sag, Where we used to be tight; A soak in the tub's ... A wild Saturday night. Kinda smarts when you realize As we get to this stage, When they say ... "What a figure!" They're talkin' ‘bout our age!
