~~~~~~~ THOUGHTS:
Triumph is just "umph" added to try.
~~~~~~~ SPECIAL THOUGHTS:

One of the stars of the Senior Pro Tour, Chi Chi Rodriguez, found a wonderful way to do it one day.

He was about to tee off in a tournament and there were several hundred spectators on hand. That's enough to make anyone feel butterflies in their stomach.

Among the spectators was a boy sitting in a wheelchair. Up to that point no one had paid much attention to the boy - least of all the golfers who had preceded Rodriguez to the tee. Their minds were more likely on the tournament's $450,000 purse. But just before Rodriguez teed off, he noticed the boy and walked over to say hello.

As they talked, Rodriguez observed that one of the boy's hands was severely malformed. Chi Chi took a golf glove out of his pocket, autographed it, and gave it to the boy, along with a ball. The boy was ecstatic and the crowd responded with loud applause at the golfer's act of kindness. Rodriguez held his hands up, then pointed to the boy as if to say, "Hey! Don't applaud me! This little guy can smile despite all his handicaps. He's the one who deserves applause!"

To Rodriguez, lifting the spirits of a boy in a wheelchair was more important at that moment than any golf match.

To the rest of us, it should be obvious that doing something good for someone else is a great way to rid ourselves of any worries we may have.

~~~~~~~ THIS & THAT:
YOU MIGHT BE A COLLEGE STUDENT. . .
Part 1 of 2 [Aug 6, 16]
If you have ever price shopped for Top Ramen.
If you live in a house with three couches, none of which match.
If you consider Macaroni and Cheese a balanced meal.
If you have ever written a check for 45 cents.
If you have ever seen two consecutive sunrises without sleeping.
If your underwear supply dictates the time between laundry loads.
If you cannot remember when you last washed your car.
If you can pack your worldly possessions into the back of a pick-up (one trip).
If you average less than 3 hours of sleep a night.
If your trash is overflowing and your bank account isn't.
If you go to Target more than 3 times a week.
If you eat at the cafeteria because it's "free," even if it makes you sick."
~~~~~~~ KEEP SMILING:

Alexander Graham Bell's laboratory.

An exciting new discovery is about to take place.

In the next room sits Bell's assistant, a man named Watson, hard at work on Bell's new invention to transmit sound over wires.

As Mr. Watson toiled away in the room with the receiver, it suddenly rings -- it must be Bell! He picks it up and hears: "Good evening, sir. Are you paying too much for your long distance service?"

~~~~~~~ TRIVIA:
RESTARTING YOUR CD-ROM
Ever wish there was an easy way to get the CD that's sitting in the CD ROM drive to play? This can be helpful when using something that runs from a CD, such as music, maps, yellow pages, clipart, etc.
Often people just open and close the CD ROM drive and the CD starts itself up again. There is an easier way. You can do this by creating an icon which will start the CD ROM.
Here are three alternate ways you can do this:
A. To place an icon on your DESK TOP:
1. Open you're "My Computer" icon.
2. Place your cursor over the CD icon and right click.
3. In the resulting pop up menu select Create Shortcut.
4. You will receive a message that reads something like "Windows can not make a shortcut here. Do you want the shortcut to be placed on the desktop instead?"
5. Click "Yes."
6. You can now start the CD by double clicking this icon on the desktop.
OR
B. To place an icon in QUICK LAUNCH.
1. Open you're "My Computer" icon.
2. Place your cursor over the CD icon.
3. Click and hold the left mouse button.
4. While holding the left mouse button, drag the icon to an empty space in the Quick Launch tool bar.
5. Release the left mouse button and this icon will be added to the Quick Launch tool bar.
6. You can now start the CD by clicking the CD icon in the Quick Launch tool bar.
OR
C. To place an icon in your START MENU:
1. Open you're "My Computer" icon.
2. Place your cursor over the CD icon.
3. Click and hold the left mouse button.
4. While holding the left mouse button, drag the icon to be directly on top of the Start button.
5. Release the left mouse button and this icon will be added to the Start menu.
6. You can now start the CD by clicking "Start" and then selecting "CD" in the pop up menu.
