~~~~~~~ THOUGHTS:
Most of the trouble in the world is caused by people wanting to be important. - T. S. Elliot
~~~~~~~ SPECIAL THOUGHTS:

Mahatma Gandhi spoke forcefully to Christians when he said, "You Christians have in your keeping a document with enough dynamite in it to blow the whole of civilization to bits, to turn society upside down, to bring peace to this war-torn world. But you read it as if it were just good literature, and nothing else."

~~~~~~~ THIS & THAT:
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Honest criticism is hard to take, particularly from a relative, a friend, an acquaintance, or a stranger.
Is sloppiness in speech caused by ignorance or apathy? We don't know and we don't care.
If it weren't for Philo T. Farnsworth, inventor of the television, we'd still be eating frozen radio dinners.
Man is the only animal that laughs or has a state legislature.
Paradise is exactly like where you are right now, only much, much better.
There are 350 varieties of shark, not counting loan and pool.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't the fine line between sanity and madness gotten finer?
Hippy dippy weather forecast for tonight: dark.
~~~~~~~ TRIVIA:

Miami, Florida (Reuters):
September 2002

Israel Haimowitz made a deal with his doctor 15 years ago, "Get me to 100 and I'll buy you a European vacation."

Haimowitz is celebrating his 100th birthday. And Dr. Robert Drimmer and his wife are looking forward to a trip to London next summer.

"I hate to take his money," Drimmer said, but Haimowitz "would be mad if I didn't go."

Haimowitz, a retired furniture salesman, said it's the least he can do. The native of Brooklyn, N.Y., is in good health, complaining only occasionally of fatigue. He moved to Florida 16 years ago.

Haimowitz, who just renewed his driver's license, said he plans to stick around awhile.
