WITandWISDOM(tm) - September 29, 2003 ISSN 1538-8794 ~~~~~~~ THOUGHTS: "Always be willing to look at both sides of the argument. Understanding the other side is the best way to strengthen your own." - Jim Rohn Source: The Funnies, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/andychaps_the-funnies ~~~~~~~ SPECIAL THOUGHTS: I enjoyed this story from one of my first-grade students' parents when she was expecting a child. "Mommy?" said the boy. "I choose a boy." The mother laughed. "I can't choose, and you can't choose," she answered. "Well, who chooses then?" continued the child. "God chooses, Jordan." Visibly relaxing, the boy, thinking about the fact that he already had two sisters, replied, "Well, that's all right then, 'cause God knows we need another boy!" When Baby Josh was born, Jordan's faith was confirmed. He knew his mother's name was June Shaw and his father was Harry Saylor from New Jersey. He said he'd never tried to contact them, reports the Orlando Sentinel. When he bought the $150 (£90) jar, he found the seller's name was also Harry Saylor. Kunath and Saylor, who is from New Jersey, agreed to talk by phone and when Kunath discovered Saylor's mother's name was June Shaw, he knew he'd found his brother. The pair have since swapped emails, but there have been no more phone calls. Kunath said finding his brother doesn't mean the two will become instant friends. He said he just wants to get to know him better. "Right now it's an open road. If this whole thing has taught me anything, it's that you never know where the road will take you." She remembered that her father had a book with an inscription of which he was very proud and decided to copy it. When Grandma opened her gift, she found neatly inscribed, "To Grandma, with the compliments of the author."
