WITandWISDOM(tm) - July 27, 2004 ISSN 1538-8794 ~~~~~~~ THOUGHTS: "A good marriage is the union of two forgivers." - Ruth Bell Graham Source: Heart Touchers, http://www.hearttouchers.com ~~~~~~~ SPECIAL THOUGHTS: Victims of a recent flood in Japan have been given unexpected help from a mystery lottery winner who posted a winning ticket to help them. Rescue officials in Fukui prefecture are marveling at the winner's generosity, after they received the ticket, worth 990,986 pounds, with a note saying it was intended for the victims of the flood. The sender had even used a false name and address so they would not be traced. Prefecture official Hiroko Imatomi said the note convinced her the ticket was genuine, says IOL. She said: "It must be from a rare type of person who has a big heart and hopes it will help people who suffered a lot." The floods earlier this month killed three people and destroyed or damaged over 200 homes. Rather tall and thin, Wilson Sr. made quite a contrast to his horse, which was well-built. One day with horse and buggy and young Woodrow along, the minister was asked by a parishioner, "Reverend, how is it that you're so thin and gaunt while your horse is so fat and sleek?" Before he could reply, young Woodrow exclaimed, "Probably because my father feeds the horse and the congregation feeds my father!"
