Eight Children were standing on the track to participate in the running event. Ready ! Steady !! Go !!! With the sound of Toy pistol, all eight girls standing in the race track started running. Hardly had they covered ten to fifteen steps, when one of the younger girls could not cope up with slippery track, tripped and fell down. She was hurt, had bruised her legs at few places. She started crying in pain. When other seven girls heard this sound, they stopped running, stood there for a while and then ran back to the place where the girl had fallen down. They picked her up, put her on her feet. One among them bent & kissed the girl gently and counseled “ It all right, dear you will soon be all right! Is it very painful!” All seven girls supported the injured girl, pacified her, two of them held the girl firmly and they all seven joined hands and walked together and reached the winning post. Needless to say, the sports Officials as well as the watching crowd were dumbfounded by the turn of events ! Then as the girls reached the final line, they burst into a thunderous applause ! Clapping by thousands of spectators filled the stadium like never before ! Many eyes were filled with tears! Friends this happened in Hyderabad, India recently ! The sport event was conducted by National Institute of Mental Health. All these special girls had come to participate in this event and they were spastic children.
