~~~~~~~ THOUGHTS:
Patience is a hard thing to learn but when you master it; a whole new and wonderful world is opened to you.
~~~~~~~ SPECIAL THOUGHTS:

In his book "Eternity In Their Hearts," Don Richardson tells of how God implants His plan for mankindís eternity into their culture. In one section, he wrote about the difficulty missionaries had in communicating the good news of Jesus Christ to the Chinese people. But one day, there was a breakthrough.

Richardson, writing about a missionary, said, "He was studying a particular Chinese ideograph, the one which means "righteous." He noticed that it contained an upper and lower part. The upper part was simply the Chinese symbol for a "Lamb." Directly under was simply a second symbol, the first person pronoun, "I" or "me."

"Suddenly, the missionary discerned an amazingly well-coded message hidden within the ideograph: "I under the lamb am righteous!"

"This startled the Chinese people. They never noticed it, but once the missionary pointed this out, they saw it clearly. The asked, "Which lamb must we be under to be righteous?"

[The missionary] replied with John 1:29, which is a description of Jesus Christ by John the Baptist, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!""

"I under the Lamb of God am righteous." That is Godís solution to mankindís sin problem.

~~~~~~~ THIS & THAT:
A Dangling Participle Alert:
The burglar was about 30 years old, white, 5' 10", with wavy hair weighing about 150 pounds.
The family lawyer will read the will tomorrow at the residence of Mr. Hannon, who died June 19, to accommodate his relatives.
Mrs. Shirley Baxter, who went deer hunting with her husband, is very proud that she was able to shoot a fine buck as well as her husband.
Organ donations from the living reached a record high last year, outnumbering donors who are dead for the first time.
The dog was hungry and made the mistake of nipping a 2-year old that was trying to force feed it in his ear.
We spent most of our time sitting on the back porch watching the cows playing Scrabble and reading.
Hunting can also be dangerous, as in the case of pygmies hunting elephants armed only with spears.
"The federal government has asked that people not return to New Orleans yet because the city still is not safe. The government then went on to say the same thing about Detroit, Cleveland and Newark." - Conan O'Brien
~~~~~~~ TRIVIA:

Several years ago I met a gentleman who served on one of Walt Disneyís original advisory boards. What amazing stories he told! Those early days were tough; but that remarkable, creative visionary refused to give up. I especially appreciated the manís sharing with me how Disney responded to disagreements. He said that Walt would occasionally present some unbelievable, extensive dream he was entertaining. Almost without exception, the members of his board would gulp, blink, and stare back at him in disbelief, resisting even the thought of such a thing. But unless every member resisted the idea, Disney usually didnít pursue it. Yes, you read that correctly. The challenge wasnít big enough to merit his time and creative energy unless they were unanimously in disagreement!
