~~~~~~~ THOUGHTS:
"And I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, 'If this isn't nice, I don't know what is.'" - Kurt Vonnegut (1922 – 2007)
~~~~~~~ SPECIAL THOUGHTS:

Dr. Wilbur Chapman often told of his experience when, as a young man, he went to become pastor of a church in Philadelphia. After his first sermon, an old gentleman said to him, "You're pretty young to be pastor of this church. But you preach the Gospel, and I'm going to help you all I can."

Dr. Chapman thought, "Here's a crank."

But the man continued: "I'm going to pray for you that you may have the Holy Spirit's power upon you. Two others have covenanted to join with me in prayer for you."

Dr. Chapman said, "I didn't feel so bad when I learned he was going to pray for me. The 3 became 10, the 10 became 20, and 20 became 50, the 50 became 200 who met before every service to pray that the Holy Spirit might come upon me. I always went into my pulpit feeling that I would have the anointing in answer to the prayers of those who had faithfully prayed for me. It was a joy to preach! The result was that we received 1,100 into our church by conversion in three years, 600 of whom were men. It was the fruit of the Holy Spirit in answer to prayer!"

~~~~~~~ THIS & THAT:
Rebecca Louise Burchard, who is autistic, is 8 years old. She composed the following poem for a home schooling project she did on Penguins.
Penguins are funny.
Penguins are cute.
It looks like Penguins
are wearing a suit.
Penguins are black
Some are blue-grey
Penguins sleep in the night
are awake in the day.
So they are not nocturnal
as you can plainly see.
(I don't think any kind of
Penguins can climb a tree).
Penguins can be small
Some are quite tall
After they march
For a mate they call.
Penguins are funny
Penguins are cute
I think Penguins are
Really quite beaut.
~~~~~~~ KEEP SMILING:

A boss to a retiree: "As a symbol of our gratitude, we have created this special gold watch to serve as a reminder of your many years with the company. It needs a lot of winding up, is always a little late, and every day at quarter to five, it stops working."

Today's useless fact - What is the largest fish ever caught?

We fished around an ocean of the links to reel in the answer to your question. The Whale Shark, or Rhincodon typus, holds the title of largest fish ever caught. In 1919, a specimen measuring 59 feet was captured in the Gulf of Thailand. Not coincidentally, the Whale Shark is considered the largest species of fish, as adults often grow to be 45 feet long and can weigh up to 15 tons. Whale Sharks are not related to whales (which are mammals, not fish). They may have earned the name because of their large size and the fact that, like whales, Whale Sharks are filter feeders. They suck up plankton and small sea creatures as they swim with their mouths open. Despite having thousands of teeth, this type of shark is harmless to humans.

Whale sharks are found in the warm, tropical oceans of the world, although their numbers are declining. The 2000 IUCN Red List of Threatened Species labels the Whale Shark as a "vulnerable" species, meaning that it faces a high risk of extinction in the wild in the not-too-distant future.
