I was driving away from my storage garage when I spotted a man inside a dumpster, probably looking for recyclable cans and bottles, but possibly discarded food. I pulled my car over, got out and handed him a $20 bill. "I assume you could use this." He looked both very surprised and pleased, pocketed the money and went back to his former search in the dumpster. I knew I was going to have a nice Shabbos meal that night and I wanted the same for him. Opportunities to do mitzvahs come often, but especially so every Shabbos. Karl Marx's Mother: If Karl, instead of writing a lot about capital, had made a lot of it ... it would have been much better. ~~~~~~~ KEEP SMILING: A preacher worked hard on his sermon most of the week and retyped it all up on Saturday night. But during the night his dog chewed it all up. He didn't notice until it was time to go to church. When he got in the pulpit, he said, "I had a nice sermon prepared for you this morning, but my dog chewed it up. I'm going to have to rely on the inspiration of the Lord today, but I promise to do better next Sunday." ~~~~~~~ TRIVIA: Other than Mexico, what country can you see looking directly south of the continental United States? ...
