~~~~~~~ THOUGHTS:
"The great thing in life is not so much what we are doing at the moment as the direction in which we are headed."
(E-zine: DAILY ENCOUNTER http://www.actsweb.org/encounter.htm)
~~~~~~~ SPECIAL THOUGHTS:

Peace comes when there is no cloud between us and God. Peace is the consequence of forgiveness, God's removal of that which obscures His face and so breaks union with Him. The happy sequence culminating in fellowship with God is penitence, pardon, and peace -- the first we offer, the second we accept, and the third we inherit. - Charles H. Brent (1862-1929)

(Christian Quotation of the Day )

~~~~~~~ THIS & THAT:
ONLY IN AMERICA . . .
Do people order double cheese burgers, a large fries, and a diet coke.
Do banks leave both doors open and then chain the pens to the counters.
Do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in the driveway and leave useless things and junk in boxes in the garage.
Do we use answering machines to screen calls and then have call waiting so we won't miss a call from someone we didn't want to talk to in the first place.
Do we buy hot dogs in packages of ten and buns in packages of eight.
(Lobdells)
~~~~~~~ KEEP SMILING:

The November 1998 Canadian edition of "Reader's Digest" had the following little story. Interestingly enough, it was sent in by a lady who lives only a short distance from us in Calgary - Linda Shepheard. When I spoke to her, she said she'd gladly give it to you for your files. Here it is with best regards - Mavis

"To settle the account with the funeral parlour, I pulled my business van into the cemetery, right to the front door of the chapel. They were preparing for an afternoon service, and mourners' cars were already arriving. As I got out of the van, I noticed the parking attendants smiling, which I thought unusual given the circumstances. But then, to my horror, it struck me why they seemed so amused. There, emblazoned on all sides of my van, in bold colourful lettering, was the name of my company: It's Curtains For You." - Linda Shepheard, Reader's Digest, November 1998

~~~~~~~ TRIVIA:
Some people think IQ tests are useless. Others swear by them (usually those with high scores...). Either way, curiosity has probably made you wonder what YOUR score is. Find out for free at this great site. You'll also find a plethora of information on IQ tests and how they work. See how you measure up! http://www.iqtest.com
