~~~~~~~ THOUGHTS:
Give us the luxuries of life and we will dispense with the necessities. - Oliver Wendell Holmes
~~~~~~~ SPECIAL THOUGHTS:

If I could catch a rainbow
I would do it just for you
And share with you its beauty
On the days you're feeling blue
If I could build a mountain
You could call your very own
A place to find serenity
A place to be alone
If I could take your troubles
I would toss them into the sea
But all these things I'm finding

Are impossible for me
I cannot build a mountain
Or catch a rainbow fair
But let me be what I know best
A friend that's always there.

~~~~~~~ THIS & THAT:
A church congregation sat enthralled while a young, very pregnant woman rose in the choir and sang, "O Lord, make haste and deliver me."
-Pastor James Simpson
~~~

When a church seeks a pastor, they want the strength of an eagle, the grace of a swan, the gentleness of a dove, the friendliness of a sparrow, and the night hours of an owl. And when they catch that bird, they expect the pastor to live on the food of a canary.

"Dad," a little boy asked, "Did you go to Sunday school every week?" "I sure did, son," his father replied. "I'll bet it won't do me any good, either," the boy replied.

~~~~~~~ KEEP SMILING:
One thing I was taught at school is that double negatives are a complete no-no. - Author Unknown
~~~~~~~ TRIVIA:

WHAT CAUSES JET LAG? . . .

Scientists long ago ruled out airline food and forced exposure to hours of droning conversation from the bore in the seat next to you as causes. The funny thing is that the cause most people would point to, a change in time zones with the accompanying confusion with meal and bed times is also apparently not the only answer. Many people flying North to South, without changing time zones, also suffer from jet lag. (That surprised me, too!)

So what else could be the cause? Most likely it's the pressurized cabin with its low humidity, the plane's vibration, engine noise, and radiation from the high altitude. In other words, your body is being assaulted while you sit there with your seat belt fastened. The solution? Drink plenty of water, move around the cabin, and take vitamin supplements. (And next time take the train, but not if you're crossing the ocean.)
