WITandWISDOM(tm) - May 19, 2005 ISSN 1538-8794 ~~~~~~~ THOUGHTS: There ain't no rules around here! We're trying to accomplish something! - Thomas A. Edison (1847 - 1931) Source: Hover Dog's Good Jokes, mailto:hooverdogsgoodjokes-subscribe@yahoogroups.com ~~~~~~~ SPECIAL THOUGHTS: The love mother had for her family had to be a Godly love. Loving eight children – all strong-willed, loud and boisterous, could not have been an easy task. Yet, there was love for all of us expressed in different ways. Some remembrances of her love were written in notes to her: "I remember the first ball glove I ever had. It sure was a nice gift for this little lad. I saved a little money; you gave the rest. Even though it cost just $1.45, it was the best." "I will always remember during my years of illness that you were the only one that I really felt love from. I knew the rest of the family loved me – I knew that with my mind, but it was only from you that I could feel love." "The true test of a mother’s love is in her sacrificial giving. I remember all those chicken backs you ate when we were growing up. I couldn’t understand how that could be your favorite piece of chicken until I became a mom." "Grandma, I always said I’d love to grow up and be like you. You are so understanding and have a gentle, quiet spirit." "You have shown deep love, compassion and genuine concern for your children. You have been quick and eager to praise them in their accomplishments and to stand by them in their trials. But, even more than that, you have shown the same kind of love to those of us who joined the family by marriage." "Bless you for your kindness, Mom, Your love and laughter, too. For the warmth and understanding That’s so much a part of you." After an interminable wait, a friend of mine had almost made it to the checkout counter. From nowhere, a woman with a cart load of groceries pushed her way forward exclaiming, "I have to go next! I'm invited to a party at the general's house tonight." Annoyance showed on many faces, until someone farther down the line spoke up. "You can go to the end of the line," she said. "I'm the one giving the party." Source: Top Greetings ~~~~~~~ TRIVIA: Google Maps: The maps are nice but nicer yet are the satellite photos. Click on the “Satellite” option.
