~~~~~~~ THOUGHTS:
A man does not insist on physical beauty in a woman who builds up his morale. After a while he realizes that she “is” beautiful... he just hadn't noticed at first.
My seven-year-old daughter wanted to take violin lessons, so I took her to a music store to rent an instrument. Hoping she would understand the importance of practicing, I explained that violin lessons were expensive so she would have to work hard.
"There may be times when you feel like giving up," I said, "but I want you to hang in there and keep on trying."
She nodded and then in her most serious voice said, "It will be just like marriage, right Mommy?"
~~~~~~~ THIS & THAT:

A German farmer lost 10,000 Euros when it was eaten by his goat.

But he got it back after having a vet carry out emergency surgery to recover the cash.

Martin Radlberger, 34, from Rosenheim in Germany left the 100 Euro notes that he planned to use to buy a tractor on the kitchen table when he went to answer the phone.

But when he returned he saw his nanny goat Steffi just finishing off the last crisp new note.

He said: "I know I shouldn't have left the cash on the table, but I was only gone for five minutes to answer a phone call. When I returned I saw how my goat had the last note in her mouth."

Radlberger immediately called a vet who performed an emergency operation on the animal.

"Now I have almost all my money back, and Steffi has had a hard lesson" the farmer says, adding that the vet had kept three of the soggy 100 Euro notes to pay for the surgery.

~~~~~~~ TRIVIA:
A Chinese man has drifted more than 1,500 miles down the country's longest river in a tyre inner-tube.
Cheng Yanhua, 41, took 43 days to finish the journey along the Yangtze river from his home town of Jinzhou city to Shanghai.
He undertook the journey because he wanted to promote the Olympic spirit, reports the Shanghai Evening Post.
Cheng said: “I put a basin in the tire for my feet, while sitting on a board on top of the tire. And I had two small bamboo paddles. That was all.
“All day long I drifted on the current and with the wind. The two paddles were to control direction and speed.”
But at his last stop, less than an hour’s journey to his final destination, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Cheng was spotted by Shanghai water patrol, who forced him to land, fearing he would disturb normal water traffic.
However, the patrol sent him to the tower on a coastguard cutter to complete his journey.
